Amelia's Itchy-Twitchy, Lovey-Dovey Summer at Camp Mosquito is Amelia's ninth middle school notebook. It was first published on April 8, 2008 by Simon & Schuster.
This notebook covers Amelia's stay at Camp Runamuka. Interestingly enough, Camp Runamuka has been mentioned before, despite Amelia staying at it for the first time that summer. It was first shown in a short story featured in the American Girl Magazine, and later mentioned in Amelia Works It Out.
Dedication[]
This notebook is dedicated to Mollie Katzen, wishing her the best summer ever!
Plot[]
Reluctantly agreeing to go to Camp Runamucka once she discovers that her friend Carly will also be there, Amelia is surprised to find that it is so much fun. Swimming, archery, hiking, and singing around the campfire are enjoyable pastimes, but the most fun of all is being selected as a cartoonist for the camp newspaper. Amelia is also pleasantly surprised to find that a second cartoonist is not only cute, but he also seems to like her. However, she soon learns that Carly has a crush on Luke, too, and the tension mounts as the two friends try to work out their problem.
